The sanctions imposed on Russia: Due to the sanctions imposed on Russia, relevant persons and companies by the Governments of the United Kingdom, European Union and United States of America, URS has adjusted its protocols and processes and decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the office that serves customers in Russia.
What does the temporary suspension of the URS Russia office mean:
- The temporary suspension remains in effect until the sanction policy is changed. Any change in the sanction policy will then be reviewed and a decision will be made in respect of the URS Russia office and associated clients
- NO new clients who are Russian and/or resident in Russia can be accepted for certification.
- Any client who is Russian and/or based in Russia and is eligible for a recertification visit will not be re-certified.
- Existing clients who are Russian and/or based in Russia under supervision will not be audited.
- A formal list of clients who are suspended and who meet the above criteria will be published
The published list is available upon request, please contact our Regulatory Affairs Manager: Liam Adams, Liam.Adams@urs-certification.com
